A knight from the French romance Gliglois. While on his way to join the Knights of the Round Table at the Castle Orgueilleux tournament, Aharer was stopped by Gliglois, a squire, who asked him to escort the lady Beauté (Gliglois's love) to the tournament. Aharer agreed, and gave Beauté a falcon to present to the winner of the tournament.

He was mystified, however, by Beauté's cruelty toward Gliglois.
