The pagan king of Sarras who, at the conclusion of the Grail Quest, threw Galahad, Perceval, and Bors into prison. There, they were sustained by the Grail, and Escorant, who became deathly ill, released them after a year. He died after receiving their forgiveness. Galahad succeeded him as king of Sarras.
