JAUFRÉ

This character, possibly identical with Griflet, is the hero of a romance bearing his name which tells how Taulat came to Arthur's court, killed a knight in front of the queen and said he would return each year to do the same. Jaufré was sent after him and, following various adventures, defeated him.

Jaufré married Brunissen, whom Taulat had made to suffer.
