One of Gawaine's three sons, apparently the youngest, "begotten upon Sir Brandiles' sister." Lovel became a companion of the Round Table.

Joining his uncles Agravaine and Mordred in their attempt to trap Lancelot with the Queen, Lovel was killed by the escaping Lancelot.
