A town in Wiltshire whose borough arms bear the motto Ubi nunc sapientis oss Merlini - 'Where are the bones of Merlin now?' Until the fourteenth century, tradition stated that Merlin was buried under an earthen mound at the western end of the town, which now lies in the grounds of Marlborough College.
