      An early name of Wales, according to the Vulgate romances. Its finest city was Palagre.

      It was renamed in honor of Galahad, son of Joseph of Arimathea. Galahad was its first Christian king. The kingdom was renamed after him Gales.

      A Saxon kingdom ruled by Ammaduc (Aminaduc), who led an invasion of Britain at the beginning of Arthur's reign.
